Stationary Engineer Greenfield, Indiana 3rd shift, 12 hour shift Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator/Utilities Technician you’ll safely and efficiently operate powerhouse equipment to ensure reliable utility supplies to campus buildings. Duties include but are not limited to: Job Responsibilities • Perform and help facilitate completion of preventive and corrective maintenance for all power plant equipment • Coordinate all utility operations while on shift • Operate, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, and deionized water production trains • Utilize the Utility Monitoring System to monitor, control, and trend performance of plant equipment • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders • Provide back‑up assistance for Wastewater Treatment Plant operations • Perform water chemistry laboratory analysis on plant systems and maintain chemical parameters • Investigate abnormal facility conditions as needed after hours • Follow all SOPs and maintain a safe working environment • Interact professionally with facility staff and customers • Assist the Utilities Supervisor • Work with potentially hazardous substances as required • Climb ladders and work in confined spaces as needed • Work in environments with exposure to greases, oil, solvents, additives, and live steam Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Two or more years of experience in power plant, chilled water plant, or utility operations Preferred Qualifications • Trade school training in HVAC or boiler operations • Boiler Operator certification • One or more years of experience operating chillers • One or more years of commercial experience performing maintenance and repair of HVAC and chiller equipment • One or more years of experience monitoring, testing, and adjusting chemical input for boiler water feed Additional Job Standards • Flexibility to work overtime as needed Relocation assistance is available.
