Job description
Ability to operate radiologic medical equipment. • Perform age-appropriate diagnostic, OR, and fluoroscopic radiological procedures. • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for radiologic medical equipment as assigned. • Manage image production including trouble shooting and downtime protocol performance. • Maintains repeat rates to a minimum through the proper use of radiographic equipment, patient position, and accurate technical factors. • Utilize teleradiology applications to process imaging orders for remote dictation.• Utilize picture archival and EMR systems to process imaging orders including scheduling, order transcribing, billing charges and medication documentation. • Ensure continuity and adequate follow through regarding equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, etc. • Ability to interpret, communicate and deliver age-appropriate care• Assess and respond to patients physical, social, and psychological needs.• Ability to activate, participate and follow through in emergency events. • Participating in the clinical education of radiography students, as required. • Cover on call, as required• Meet physical demands consistent with the position such as walking, lifting, standing, pushing and pulling.
