Join JPMorganChase's Firmwide Financial Control organization where you'll play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of the firm's financial data across loans and deposits products. This is an opportunity to combine deep analytical expertise with strategic technology partnerships to drive meaningful improvements to our control framework. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders across functions while building scalable solutions that enhance how we manage and report financial information. As a Banking Asset Class Control Analyst within Firmwide Financial Control organization, you will provide subject matter expertise to ensure robust financial control processes, drive process improvements, and partner with senior stakeholders across functions. You will partner with technology to implement scalable, strategic data solution that enhance the control framework and enable consistent, efficient reporting. Additional responsibilities may include balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, reporting handoff accountability, manual accounting/bookings to the general ledger, and the month-end close process and coordination. Job Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise for general ledger and FRW-based controls, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data used for financial and regulatory reportingDevelop and maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle flows for loans and deposit products, including key upstream systems, processing points, and control touchpointsIdentify, investigate, and resolve breaks and material variances across the data supply chain (upstream source systems → GL/FRW → downstream reporting), escalating themes and driving remediation with stakeholdersStrengthen control design and execution by defining clear control objectives, inputs/outputs, evidencing standards, and sustainable operating proceduresPartner with Technology to deliver scalable solutions that strategically source data, improve data lineage, reduce manual interventions, and enhance the overall control frameworkDrive process improvement initiatives to standardize controls, simplify workflows, and improve timeliness and quality of financial/regulatory reporting outputsBuild strong partnerships with upstream stakeholders (front-to-back product/platform owners, operations, and technology) and downstream reporting teams, influencing outcomes through clear communication and disciplined follow-throughSupport governance and change management by assessing impacts of system/process changes on GL/FRW controls and coordinating implementation, testing, and adoption plansPrepare clear, executive-ready control and issue reporting, including root cause analysis, remediation status, and emerging risk themes across loans and deposit productsChampion a strong control culture, ensuring appropriate risk awareness, documentation discipline, and continuous improvement across the control environment Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: Bachelor’s degree required0-2 years of related experience in financial control, accounting, or finance within a large, complex organizationStrategic thinker with the ability to understand business drivers, anticipate challenges, and deliver innovative solutions to complex problemsAdvanced analytical skills: ability to quickly understand complex processing and general ledger systems, their interrelationships, and dependenciesExcellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skillsSuperior organizational, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior audiencesDemonstrated ability to critically challenge the status quo, identify control issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities: Advanced Microsoft ExcelSQL ServerExperience with automation and data analytics tools is a plus
