Our operations include the distribution and regulation of daily, permitted, and event parking, as well as the maintenance of parking lots and garages. We also provide assistance to those parked on or traveling through campus. This assistance includes jump-starts and opening vehicles for those locked out. Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. Purpose To supervise and support the Student Ambassadors as they promote campus safety mobility initiatives. Assistant Supervisor will coordinate Student Ambassadors in their mission to educate the campus community about new safety protocols, promote responsible riding, and support a safer environment for pedestrians and riders. Assistant Supervisor will supervise the weekend Shop Shuttle program. Responsibilities Responsible for the daily operations of the Ambassador program. Supervise assigned employees. Provide guidance to assigned staff on campus mobility safety rules, protocols, and customer service skills. Assist in resolving any issues. Oversee the setup, takedown, and inventory of all equipment and materials needed. Answer questions and help educate the public. Encourage following safety guidelines in a respectful, non-confrontational manner. Run Qualtrics report to obtain roster for weekend Shop Shuttles. Supervise Shop Shuttle by handing the roster, keys to vehicles, and cell phones to staff and collect them when finished. Share feedback, common questions, or recurring concerns with the program. Help identify high-traffic or high-confusion areas where additional messaging may be needed. Run or attend required training sessions and team check-ins. Prepare reports regarding operation and status of area or responsibility. Other related functions as assigned. Required Qualifications A high school diploma or GED. A combination of three years’ experience in leadership roles and working in a fast-paced environment. One year of supervisory experience. Well-demonstrated customer service skills, professional demeanor, and attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and available to work throughout the fall semester. Must not be working for another UT department or State of Texas agency. An unexpired Texas Driver’s License and a clear driving record. Authorized to work in the U.S. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications More than the required minimum number of years of experience. Related experience in public safety or public education programs. Experience coordinating campus organizations or initiatives. Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Driver Required This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
