Software Engineer III, Core Security

Job description

Architect new novel access controls in lockstep with security teams to redefine Google's security posture. Scale our policy engine to outpace explosive global growth and stay ahead of emerging threats. Manage engineering analysis tooling that empowers decision-makers to visualize and master the impact of access policy shifts before they even hit production. Partner with SREs to harden our platform, ensuring unparalleled reliability and health at Alphabet-scale. Partner closely with teams that must interact with end users on our behalf to help them navigate access challenges. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of programming experience in Java. 2 years of experience in coding and system design with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python). 2 years of experience with code optimization. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL. Understanding of key issues in the security and privacy space, particularly in the tech sector.
