Job description
The Manufacturing Finance Analyst will support our North American chemical operations to: a.) ensure manufacturing and logistics costs are accurately controlled and recorded; b.) partner with operations teams to drive cost improvements in the business; c.) control and assess financial returns on key operational investments; and d.) support all finance-related activities across multiple production sites in the United States and Canada. This role is equal parts controllership and financial planning & analysis. Duties & Responsibilities: ● Manage financial activities of six manufacturing plant operations in the US and Canada. ● Perform all COGS-related monthly closing activities and financial analysis for the chemicals business in North America totaling approximately $350M in annual spend. ● Partner with plant leaders to improve financial performance and working capital position. ● Lead NAM process for annual operating budgets and ongoing expense forecasting. ● Support capital spend, new investment models and physical counts, as required. ● Support make-versus-buy and margin analysis. ● Lead annual physical inventories at the production plants; Inventory adjustments, analysis, and audit requests. ● Conduct internal control/process reviews based on applicable statutory and IFRS reporting requirements. ● Lead monthly analysis and reporting of direct material inflation/deflation. ● Respond to client ad-hoc requests for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible manner.
