Job description
Define the technical roadmap and strategy for the Kubernetes Infrastructure layer of the GDC product line. Drive and influence engineering excellence across the organization, establish Service Level Objective (SLO) driven engineering practices, deliver industry-leading infrastructure with top supportability, stability, and resilience. Drive and lead the end-to-end development lifecycle for GDC projects, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance. Work closely with GDC product, operators, SREs (Site Reliability Engineers), and other engineering teams and lead to deliver impactful solutions. Ensure the tools and applications are robust, scalable, and performant, meeting the high demands of a global infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products. 5 years of experience with cloud platforms, distributed computing, building scalable architecture, and leading software engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. 5 years of experience building, scaling, and maintaining production Kubernetes infrastructure, Anthos/Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) enterprise, or bare-metal hybrid cloud deployments.
