Line of Business: Enterprise Enabling Functions Job Description: The Manager, Design & Experience is responsible for research and benchmarking, new concept development and business-specific solutions and standards. This role also is responsible for the development and documentation of presentations and other related content providing solutions that deliver an impactful interior and exterior design with a strong focus on improving customer and employee experiences that are reflective of the location, community, and current Brand standards. Position Overview: Seeking a forward-thinking design professional who can leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance design quality, accelerate project delivery and improve experiences while maintaining strong design and technical expertise The Manager, Workplace Design & Experience leads the planning and design, and supports delivery of workplace environments across TD's U.S corporate real estate portfolio (excluding Canada). This role is responsible for shaping the physical Corporate and Client Facing workplace design experiences that support employee engagement, business performance, brand expression, wellness, sustainability, and operational excellence. Working within Enterprise Real Estate, the position provides strategic leadership for high-profile workplace initiatives, executive environments, amenity spaces, and future workplace concepts, while partnering with internal stakeholders, consultants, project teams, and senior executives. Depth & Scope: Researches relevant benchmarking and industry trends Brainstorms and conceptualizes a variety of possible experience scenarios and provides definition and application logic Creates and develops business-specific concepts and solutions Connects requirements across lines of business to insure standards alignment and clear direction for partners and consultants Participates in planning, managing, and implementation of special programs providing design experience subject matter expertise (SME) as related to other business unit initiatives having an impact Establishes a close team relationship with all project partners to identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions to address customer requirements and special needs with actionable insight Manages multiple, broad, and large-scale initiatives Collaborates to ensure solutions developed meet company design and technical standards Manages external consultants to ensure timely and accurate production of design solutions that meet business objectives and align with established Company procedures and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required Graduate Degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below 5+ Years of related experience Registered or unregistered architect, project manager or designer, licensed professionals preferred Experience with LEED & WELL, LEED AP & WELL AP certification preferred Must have management experience related to consultants Must have excellent organizational and communication skills Multi-day travel may be required, including travel to active construction sites Must possess excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project Must have experience reading and performing quality control for construction documents Must have demonstrated architectural/interior design experience related to corporate and retail projects Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline Financial services or large corporate workplace experience is an asset Customer Accountabilities: Understands and supports the Bank’s Customer Service Strategy Considers the impact of advice and decisions on the well-being of the Bank, as well as its customers, its employees and stakeholders Provides the highest level of Customer service when dealing with internal partners, vendors or our Customers - WOW at every opportunity Leads, coaches, and models quality service delivery at every interaction Supports the ongoing improvement of the partner/Customer experience Shareholder Accountabilities: Financial Accountability Supports the development and implementation of operational strategies and objectives to achieve measurable excellence in the quality delivery of sales, service, and products aligned with “Best Run” concepts and overall enterprise strategy and objectives Participates in establishing and executing plans and goals for the Business to drive toward results.
