Our Remote Visual Inspection product portfolio is used worldwide across aviation, energy, manufacturing, and industrial markets to inspect critical assets and infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced software engineering leader to lead the embedded software organization responsible for our video borescope product portfolio. This role combines technical leadership, people development, product execution, and strategic planning to deliver industry leading inspection solutions to customers around the world.. Partner with the best As Senior Engineering Manager, Embedded Software, you will lead a global team responsible for the embedded software, firmware, and device software that powers our video borescope platforms. As a Senior Engineering Manager , you will be responsible for: • Leading a global software engineering team developing embedded software and firmware for advanced inspection systems. • Driving the execution of software development programs while balancing schedule, quality, cost, and customer requirements. • Partnering with product management, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, quality, manufacturing, and service teams to bring products from concept through launch and sustainment. • Defining technical roadmaps and investment priorities for future generations of embedded software platforms. • Building a culture of technical excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Developing engineering talent through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development. • Supporting customer engagements and strategic development partnerships. • Driving the adoption of modern embedded software development practices, automation, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled technologies where they create customer value. • Managing engineering resources, staffing plans, budgets, and software capitalization activities. • Collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams and external development partners. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role, you will: • Have significant experience leading embedded software development teams delivering commercial hardware products. • Have a strong technical foundation in embedded software, firmware development, embedded architecture, or related engineering disciplines. • Have experience delivering products that tightly integrate software, electronics, optics, sensors, and mechanical systems. • Have experience operating at both strategic and technical levels, helping teams solve complex engineering challenges while guiding long-term product direction. • Have experience working within structured product development environments that utilize requirements, design reviews, verification, validation, and release processes. • Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Have experience managing engineering roadmaps, budgets, and organizational growth. • Have a passion for developing high-performing engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications • Have experience developing embedded systems using C or C++. • Have experience working with Embedded Linux, RTOS environments, device drivers, hardware interfaces, and board bring-up. • Have experience developing or supporting camera systems, imaging products, optics, computer vision, image processing, or measurement technologies. • Have experience leading the development of industrial, aerospace, medical device, robotics, automation, or instrumentation products. • Have experience working with connected devices and cybersecurity for embedded products. • Have experience with AI, machine learning, or edge analytics deployed on embedded platforms. • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
