Job Description Summary Job Description Job Summary** Lead and manage a team responsible for the successful transfer of designs from development to manufacturing, ensuring products meet quality, regulatory, and cost objectives for GE Precision Healthcare. Job Responsibilities** * Oversee and manage a team of design transfer leaders engineers and specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. * Develop and implement robust design transfer strategies, processes, and tools to facilitate efficient and compliant product launches. * Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain teams to define transfer requirements and ensure seamless transitions. * Ensure all design transfer activities comply with internal quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, FDA regulations, and other relevant industry guidelines. * Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for design transfer initiatives, identifying and mitigating potential risks. * Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the design transfer process, seeking opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and best practice implementation. * Develop and maintain comprehensive design transfer documentation, manufacturing instructions, test procedures, and training materials. * Facilitate and lead design reviews, process validations, and verification activities related to design transfer. * Act as a subject matter expert on design transfer best practices and provide training to internal stakeholders. Job Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, manufacturing engineering, or design transfer within the medical device or highly regulated industry. * Experience in a leadership or supervisory role. * Proven track record of successfully leading design transfer projects from concept to commercialization. * Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485) and regulatory requirements for medical devices (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820). * Experience with Device Master Records (DMR) and design controls. * Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. * Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
