Job description

Engage in and improve the entire lifecycle of Google Public Sector air-gapped services, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement. Support services before they go live via system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews. Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. Scale systems sustainably through automation, and push and contribute to architectural changes that improve reliability and velocity. Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields. 2 years of experience working with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design. 1 year of experience using Go (Golang) as a programming language for systems or application development. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
