Company: Oak Street Health Title: Senior Associate, Population Health (Stars) Location: Chicago or Remote Role Description and Responsibilities At Oak Street, Population Health drives both our clinical and economic model and is focused on delivering high-quality, cost-effective care. The Senior Associate, Population Health reports to the Senior Manager of Population Health and is responsible for supporting our payer Quality / Stars efforts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, enjoys solving challenging problems, uses data to drive insights, and excels in a fast-paced environment. This will be a high-visibility role requiring significant partnership with external payers, cross-team collaboration within Population Health and other corporate teams (e.g., Managed Care Operations, Product, Patient Experience etc.), partnership with clinical and operational field leaders, and regular communication with senior leadership. Core Responsibilities: • Analytical Model Development: Design and build sophisticated analytical models that predict, measure performance and identify trends for Stars reporting. Utilize advanced statistical techniques to generate actionable insights. Continuously update reporting capabilities to adjust to Oak Street needs. • Forecasting and Performance Analysis: Develop and maintain forecasting models that project Oak Street’s performance in various CMS Stars measures. Regularly analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance ratings. Draw insights from performance data and highlight areas of opportunity by market for field leaders and Oak Street’s senior leadership team. • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate performance metrics, trends, and recommendations to Oak Street senior leadership (VP, SVP, & C-suite) and other key stakeholders (Oak Street Medical leadership). • Population Health Integration: Collaborate with teams in Population Health to ensure seamless integration of quality improvement efforts with CMS Stars program initiatives. Identify opportunities to align operational practices with internal quality goals. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Product, Data, Managed Care Operations, and other Population Health teams, to integrate analytical insights into Oak Street’s overall quality improvement efforts. • Other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for: • 2+ years of consulting, business analytics, and/or other applicable experience in healthcare / population health • Analytical and data savvy • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, experience working with large datasets • Experience/proficiency in SQL is a plus • Ability to succinctly summarize and synthesize large amounts of information • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders • Strong relationship-building skills to foster collaboration with health plans and internal teams • Strong interpersonal skills that support effective stakeholder engagement • Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint • Someone who is a self-starter • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong accountability and discipline against timelines and deliverables • Passion for excellence, willing to go the extra mile to achieve objectives and ensure consistently high quality work product • Quick learner and someone who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity • Bachelor degree required • US work authorization • Someone who embodies being “Oaky” What does being “Oaky” look like? • Radiating positive energy • Assuming good intentions • Creating an unmatched patient experience • Driving clinical excellence • Taking ownership and delivering results • Being relentlessly determined Why Oak Street Health? The actual base salary offer wil
