As Global ERP Operations Lead, you are responsible for the stability, performance and continuous improvement of Amgen’s ERP (SAP) platform. You lead global ERP run operations and ensure that the systems supporting critical business processes operate reliably, securely and compliantly. You combine deep SAP operational expertise with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to ensure service excellence and drive continuous improvement across the ERP landscape. Key Responsibilities: Lead global ERP run operations for SAP S/4HANA and integrated platforms, ensuring high availability and performance. Drive operational excellence through effective monitoring, incident, problem and change management. Establish AI-enabled ERP operations and AIOps capabilities that use operational data and telemetry to improve system resilience, accelerate issue resolution, and optimize operating costs. Define and manage operational KPIs and SLAs to ensure reliable ERP service delivery. Ensure ERP platforms meet cybersecurity, GxP, SOX and GDPR compliance requirements. Strengthen access management, segregation of duties and security patching processes. Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and modernization across ERP operations. Use operational metrics and insights to improve system resilience, user experience and cost efficiency. Lead and develop a global team of internal and partner resources. Partner closely with Solution Leads, Delivery teams and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless system lifecycle management. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience Preferred Qualifications: Roughly 10 years of experience in enterprises and/or consultancy firms. Proven success leading ERP implementation and/or operations in large, global organizations, ensuring system reliability and operational excellence. Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and RISE with SAP/non-SAP environments. Strong experience managing complex system integrations and enterprise-scale SAP landscapes. Demonstrated ability to lead service delivery and vendor management through KPIs, SLAs and continuous improvement. Experience implementing automation and operational optimization initiatives within ERP platforms. Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and enterprise service management tools such as ServiceNow. Knowledge of ITIL practices and ERP security/compliance frameworks in regulated environments. Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
