GDIT provides individual sustainment and collective Mission Command training, leadership development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, delta training, first‑person simulations (gaming), and constructive simulation support from squad level through Echelon Above Brigade (EAB). Responsibilities include technical integration between simulation and C4I systems, establishing and maintaining training and exercise networks, and executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation activities. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: • Network design: Design, plan, implement, and oversee classified and unclassified MTC WAN/LAN networks supporting voice, data, and video services for exercises and events.External network integration: Manage MTC use of networks owned by external organizations, including NIPR, SIPR, tactical networks, and others as required.Cross‑site coordination: Coordinate network design, requirements, and responsibilities with other MTCs, training sites, training units, and external communications organizations.Architecture and configuration: Design network architecture, develop network plans, configure equipment, and assist with installation of equipment and circuits supporting distributed exercises.Operational and analytical tasks: Install, configure, maintain, and secure networks and associated devices.Simulation network support: Configure, document, test, troubleshoot, and update network documentation for internal simulation networks, including Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches. Troubleshoot TCP/IP, multicast, UDP traffic flows, and tunneling encryption devices.Cybersecurity compliance: Apply system updates, quarterly patches/IAVAs, SRG/STIGs, configure access control lists, and analyze or modify network devices and software to meet user and system requirements.Encrypted connections: Plan, develop, and execute encrypted network connections to external entities supporting constructive simulation exercises. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
