As a Commercial Banker in Mid-Corporate Banking, your primary responsibility will be new client acquisition and maintaining and deepening a portfolio of relationships. You will work both independently and collaboratively to introduce our comprehensive solutions to clients. Your role involves growing and retaining profitable relationships within the Mid-Corporate Banking target market, which typically includes companies with annual revenues ranging from $100 million to $2 billion. Job Responsibilities - Act as a primary interface with our Mid-Cap Investment Banking Team. - Acquire new clients and maintaining and deepening a portfolio of relationships. - Act as the interface between our financial sponsors team and portfolio companies. - Growing and retain profitable relationships within the Mid-Corporate Banking target market. - Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset. - Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships. - Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills - Five plus years of lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships - Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services - Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, demonstrate proven client relationship skills, and can engage with CEOs and CFOs - Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources - Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners - Deep local connections and market knowledge - Corporate finance expertise and strong transaction execution skills - FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills - Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training. - Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships. - Experience with Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending and Capital Markets Solutions. - Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask. - Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative.
