Job description
About the Team The Dasher & Logistics team supports the millions of Dashers who power DoorDash’s marketplace. We’re building the world’s leading last-mile logistics platform — and to succeed, we’ll need to disrupt ourselves along the way. The Dasher Financial team is one such disruption: we are building fintech products that best serve the needs of Dashers and gig workers like them. From instant access to earnings, to innovative bill pay and savings products, to credit-building tools, our goal is to create the financial system of record for Dashers. We are early in this journey — launching and scaling zero-to-one products that redefine how Dashers interact with their money. About the Role We are looking for an Associate, Strategy & Operations to join our Dasher Financial team. This role is about building the operations of a bank program at scale — a bank product that is already used by millions of Dashers each month. Unlike traditional banks that feel slow and impersonal, our ambition is to build a financial product that is fast, intuitive, and genuinely supportive — one that helps Dashers not just hold money, but actively improve their financial health. To deliver on that promise, we need exceptional operators who can take tough operational problems, turn them into clear plans, and drive them to completion. As an Associate, you will: • Own a core area of the Crimson banking program end to end — the metrics, the operating model, and the cross-functional partners who make it work • Turn ambiguous operational problems into structured plans, and drive them through Product, Engineering, Legal, and external partners • Build the monitoring and mechanisms that catch problems before users report them, rather than after • Manage external vendors and partners: hold them to their SLAs, escalate when they miss, and negotiate what we need Disputes & Support This role owns the Crimson support and disputes experience — the systems, partners, and processes that determine whether a Dasher who has a problem gets it solved. You'll own dispute operations as we bring them in-house, Crimson support performance and tooling, and the complaint monitoring that tells us what's actually broken in the product. Growth Ops This role owns the top of the Crimson funnel: identity verification and onboarding, and the campaigns that bring non-Crimson Dashers and DoorDash consumers into the product. You'll own KYC health and vendor performance, reduce friction from application through first use, and drive acquisition. Dasher Financial is an ambitious bet - building fintech products for the future of work. For someone with a strong foundation in problem solving who wants to grow into a future operator or general manager, this is a rare opportunity to learn by doing in a zero-to-one environment. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… • Analyze & problem-solve: Break down ambiguous problems, run analyses, and recommend solutions that improve adoption, retention, and trust. • Drive execution: Own and deliver discrete projects that move our key metrics (e.g., deposits, bill pay adoption, dispute resolution SLA). • Experiment & learn: Design and test hypotheses, measure impact, and help scale what works. • Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Legal to launch and improve initiatives. • Grow fast: Build the toolkit of a future operator/GM by working on zero-to-one fintech problems in a high-growth environment. We’re excited about you because… • You have 2-3 years of experience and have succeeded in high-growth teams (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience) • You have exceptional problem-solving skills and back your decisions with data (comfortable pulling SQL or modeling in Excel) • You’re curious, driven, and comfortable with ambiguity • You want to learn fast and take ownership • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Compensation Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location. DoorDash cares about you and your overall well-being. That’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package to all regular employees, which includes a 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off and paid sick leave in compliance with applicable laws (e.g. Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act). DoorDash also offers medical, dental, and vision benefits, 11 paid holidays, disability and basic life insurance, family-forming assistance, and a mental health program, among others.
