About this role We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of FP&A to support our North America Hydronics business and report to the CFO of Carrier’s North America Residential Solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience leading and influencing across a matrixed organization and lead a team of finance professionals supporting the business. This position will support P&L, working capital, and cash functions and provide support to leadership in various strategic initiatives. This position is responsible for providing financial guidance to business unit leadership to achieve annual financial performance targets, ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies/procedures, and support the development of accurate and timely forecasts and annual plans. Key Responsibilities Oversee the reporting of accurate and timely financial information for the North America Hydronics business Function as key finance business partner and work closely with business management and operations to drive working capital and cash flow improvements, guiding the organization through key strategic initiatives Own end-to-end financial strategy, annual budget, long-range planning and forecasting Direct month-end close process, monthly forecast, and annual plan process. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions Regularly review / analyze key performance trends (orders, backlog, market growth, share, sales, margins, etc.) to understand and communicate risk and opportunities of the business Review new business proposals including capital investments and provide recommendations Measure, track, and help drive productivity savings across the organization Drive continuous improvement and operation efficiency Provide technical, financial subject matter expertise to the business leadership team Lead a team of finance professionals. Help develop the team through performance feedback and coaching on an on-going basis Prepare ad hoc analysis and investigations as requested by leadership Be vocal in driving an ethical culture in support of Carrier policies and procedures Drive a culture that embraces and strives for continuous improvement Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / business administration / economics / commerce. 7+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting, of which 3+ years experience in FP&A. 3+ years’ experience of people leadership. Preferred Qualifications (nice to have) Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include: MBA is preferred Knowledge of US or Canadian GAAP Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting/forecasting processes, financial/cost analysis Ability to analyze large amounts of data and output it into an understandable format easily communicated to others Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present recommendations effectively, collaborate across functions and organizational levels, and drive actionable results in the organization. Proven track record of establishing a strategic business partner relationship with general management and functional leaders of a multi-divisional organization Ability to quickly identify new and innovative processes and ways to work faster and simpler Proven ability to delegate, execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset to meet reporting deadlines Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive sustainable solutions Strong ability to lead and develop diverse teams to achieve high-performance levels in a dynamic, changing environment Exposure to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP, and Microsoft Office products Advanced PowerPoint presentation experience Additional information Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada without restriction; visa sponsorship is not available. Pay Range The expected base salary range for this role is between $136,000.00 CAD - $186,000.00 CAD annually. The rate of pay may be impacted by factors such as the applicant's geographic location, market data/range, skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and/or other relevant considerations. This compensation includes components such as base salary, vacation pay, public holiday pay, potential estimated overtime pay and paid statutory leaves of absence. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, as well as possible retirement contributions. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the province in which the applicant is to be employed. Other Compensation This role may also provide the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation in the form of annual bonus, sales bonus, sales commission or local incentive. If the role provides for an opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation, it will be based on measurable performance factors which may include company performance, individual performance or other key performance indicators.
