This role owns the monthly and quarterly close calendar end to end, drives automation and AI-enabled process improvement across Finance Operations, and serves as the primary point of contact for ad hoc requests from stakeholders across the company. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is equal parts people manager, process owner, and technical subject-matter expert on the company's consolidation and ERP (NetSuite) environment.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Manage the Financial Systems & Operations team (Lead IT Systems Engineer and Operations Analyst), setting priorities and reviewing work product.Consolidation Close: Own the consolidation close process end to end, including intercompany eliminations and the allocation process across all legal entities.Close Governance: Lead close meetings across Finance and identify opportunities to streamline, accelerate, and de-risk the close.FloQast Ownership: Serve as the team's FloQast leader, driving adoption of the platform across the close and reconciliation process and continuously identifying opportunities to automate tasks, strengthen controls, and shorten the close timeline.AI Champion: Identify, evaluate, and implement AI and automation tools to reduce manual effort in close, consolidation, and flux/variance reporting workflows.Stakeholder Support: Act as the go-to resource for ad hoc requests across Finance stakeholders (FP&A, Controllership, Tax, external auditors, and business-unit finance leads).NetSuite Champion: Partner with IT and the Lead IT Systems Engineer on system configuration, enhancements, and issue resolution; serve as the primary liaison between Finance and NetSuite administrators.Cross-Functional Alignment: Liaise with other Finance teams (FP&A, Controllership, Tax, Treasury) to keep consolidation and close processes aligned with broader finance and reporting timelines.Quarterly Analytics: Own the quarterly analytics ("FQ") calendar and oversee preparation of quarterly flux/variance analysis deliverables provided to internal and external auditors.Journal Entry Review: Review and approve eliminations and allocation journal entries prepared by the team.Technical Accounting Support: Provide ad hoc technical accounting research and guidance on non-routine or complex transactions, partnering with Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to document conclusions and determine proper treatment.Documentation: Build and maintain documentation for consolidation, elimination, and allocation processes to support audit readiness and business continuity.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations, with at least 2-3 years in a people-management role.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in financial services, broker-dealer, or fintech environments.Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/consolidation platform.Experience with FloQast or a similar close-management/automation platform.Prior experience supporting external audit / quarterly analytic review processes.Experience with AI-assisted reporting or workflow tools applied to finance operations.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills in financial systems, databases, and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large, multi-entity GL data sets and prepare clear, audit-ready variance explanations.Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage the close calendar and multiple concurrent projects under deadline pressure.Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly to auditors and senior stakeholders.Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a technical/accounting team.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and automation/AI adoption.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, du
