Job Description Summary We are seeking a Real-Time Embedded Software Developer and Verification Engineer to join our Stores Management System (SMS) and Computing Platform Development Team in support of an undisclosed program. In this hybrid role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle (V-model), from requirements definition and architecture through implementation, integration, verification, and validation. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience developing real-time embedded software for safety- or mission-critical applications, with strong skills in C, C++, and/or Ada, as well as experience working with bare-metal drivers, RTOS environments, and hardware/software integration. This role includes development for the AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC and support for software used in Stores Management Computer (SMC) and Station Carriage Control Unit applications. Location: Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL This position, which offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, is based in Grand Rapids or Clearwater, FL and necessitates a presence in the office for 2-3 days each week. Job Description Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, integrate, and verify real-time embedded software across the full V-model software lifecycle • Support all lifecycle phases including: • requirements analysis and definition • software architecture and detailed design • implementation and code integration • verification, validation, and test execution • Contribute to the development of Stores Management Computer and Station Carriage Control Unit software within the SMS and Computing Platform team • Develop embedded software using C, C++, and/or Ada • Implement software solutions using bare-metal drivers and real-time operating systems (RTOS) • Develop software targeting the AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC • Integrate software supporting MIL-STD-1553 data bus communications • Develop and execute software verification activities using unit test frameworks, Robot Framework, LDRA, VectorCAST, and/or custom embedded test applications • Apply applicable software safety, certification, and airworthiness standards, including DO-178, MIL-HDBK-516C, and/or JSSSEH • Support proposal and capture efforts through technical inputs, estimates, and development approach documentation • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for an undisclosed program Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field • 4 to 6 years of experience developing real-time embedded software • Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Ada • Experience executing work across the full software development lifecycle (V-model), from requirements through verification • Experience working with bare-metal drivers and RTOS-based systems • Experience with software verification methods, tools, and test execution • This position requires U.S. citizenship status. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 10/31/26.
