Job Description Summary: The incumbent will support enactment of the Draper NXT Vision and Strategy in key priority sectors to drive credible implementation and bridge strategy to task, with an emphasis on the intersection of Draper's business areas with the microelectronics enterprise. Further, they will help translate enterprise priorities into actional business strategies, investment plans, technology priorities and external engagements. This strategic leader must work closely and collaboratively with other Strategy teammates and Engineering Directorate, Strategic, Electronic Systems, Biotechnology, and Space business areas as well as with functional teammates within Draper. Job Description: Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for turning a strategic plan into action to support the Department of the Navy and the Combatant Commands. Collaborates with Engineering to identify long-range, strategic investments to help inform corporate classified IR&D planning and CRAD growth Understand the federal and national security policies associated with the Draper Strategy and how they affect our objectives Participates in executive level stakeholder engagements of Strategic Mission Focus Areas Assist Chief Strategy Officer in maintaining strategic alignment across Strategic Mission Focus Area's and technology strategy Identifies the long-and-short-term goals for Draper and workable strategies to accomplish these goals Identify potential risks or roadblocks to strategy implementation and propose mitigation strategies Monitors business climate, trends in technology and research and development, and government activity in areas of Draper's business units. General management including visionary leadership, strategy development, business management, and team-building Team-work and collaboration as part of peer-based cross-functional teams Live/act/lead our core values of people-first, integrity, excellence, team-work, and innovation Skills and Abilities Knowledge of classified DoD portfolio, investment decisions and specific problems Proven leadership skills, ability to develop, maintain and foster relationships with the Defense and Intelligence community, including other non-profits, the industrial base, commercial sector companies, and other organizations Ability to solve complex, highly technical problems across Draper Demonstrated understanding of the policy, finance, regulatory, technology, and business aspects of at the Strategic Mission Focus Areas. Self-starting, visionary team builder with demonstrated leadership qualities Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Education Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience 15 years of management experience within the Defense and/or Intelligence Community Additional Job Description: Responsible for turning a strategic plan into action to support Department of War and Intelligence community customers. Collaborates across the company to identify long-range, strategic investments to help inform corporate growth Support the annual strategy refresh, including environmental assessment, strategic priorities, strategic choices, and development of enterprise strategic objectives. Work directly with business-area leadership to develop and refresh annual business-area strategies and strategic priorities. Work with business areas and across CSO team to identify and prioritize strategic government engagements that advance business and technology objectives. Develop engagement strategies for senior government customers, policymakers, acquisition organizations, laboratories, and other government stakeholders. Partner with the company’s market intelligence team to translate broad market intelligence into insights that are directly relevant to business-area strategies and technology development. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
